So it seems that the trend among mothers and sewists (textile designers? Seamstresses?) is to create "25 Days of Christmas Dresses". Wow! That's a LOT of sewing for not much wear! However, as I watch each of these dresses appear in my Facebook feed, I am feeling more and more like I want to do it too!! We don't leave the house every day, so Reese doesn't need 25 dresses but I'm creating my own challenge for myself....how many dresses (or outfits!) can I create out of just a few cuts of christmas fabrics!? Next year though, I'm hoping to not only do 25 outfits for Reese but to also offer that to a few lucky clients in my shop!!
This is what my stash looks like. Joann Fabrics had alllllll their holiday fabrics 50% off and I love that! You also see an adorable Anna ahem, Ice Princess tshirt that I have in my pile. I TOTALLY intended on getting the Ice QUEEN shirt but said Princess when I ordered it. Lol! But I have to admit. I'm kinda glad I made the error! Reese loves it! (Shirt was made by my favorite local designer, The Freckled Clover, look her up!!) Anyhow, I'm planning to make a matching skirt for that but need to find bright colors to match it! I'm thinking peppermint candies and green stripes. We shall see!!
Also on my table are Grinch themed Christmas jammie pants for Reese, J, Mike, and Kristo. And a also a nightgown for Reese. (All the lovely grinch fabrics are from The Fabric Cobbler)
I've also got a dress to bustle, a couple of scrub tops to make, and like, NINE MILLION (ok, just 9) teddy bears to make. Before the 19th of December. If you need me, I will be in my sewing room!
Which, by the way, looks like a bomb went off. I think once we return from holiday traveling....a solid cleaning is in order. Will trade sewing for organizing. ;)
Thanks for stopping by! Do something kind for a stranger today!!
